The 3-in-1 Bowtie Cue Tip Tool used for cue tip repair works both for shaping and scuffing cue tips to maintain and perfect your pool or snooker cue tip.
Why shape your cue tip?
Add more precision to your shot by shaping your cue tip and reducing the surface area that comes into contact with the cue ball. It's imperative that your cue tip maintains a good size, shape and texture to maximise your precision in game play. The Cue Shop recommends that your tip should curve similar to an American nickel or dime. The shaper side is labelled "tapper" and is a rough surface which can be used to take the edges off your tip.
Why scuff your cue tip?
Over time, your tip can harden up with extended play. Tips act like the suspension springs on a vehicle and allow for sufficient energy transfer. Ensure proper energy transfer by scuffing your tip. Scuffing also cleans and textures the tip.
What does the aerator side do?
The aerator side features over dozens of small needle-like protrusions which prick your tip for better chalk retention, overall improving your game.
